Custom boat registration number decals that meet all federal and state requirements. Durable, high-visibility, and precision-cut for a professional look that lasts for years on the water.
Know the Law
Every motorized vessel on U.S. waterways must display a valid registration number. Here's what federal and state regulations require — and how our decals keep you compliant.
Federal law (33 CFR Part 173) requires registration numbers to be at least 3 inches high. Most states mandate block letters in a contrasting color to the hull.
Numbers must appear on both sides of the bow, reading left to right, positioned as far forward as possible for maximum visibility.
Your registration number follows the format: 2-letter state code + up to 4 digits + 2-letter suffix (e.g., FL 1234 AB). Spaces or hyphens required between each group.
Why Choose Us
Our decals are made from 6-mil cast vinyl with UV-protective laminate, rated for 7–10 years of outdoor marine exposure without fading, cracking, or peeling.
Choose from dozens of colors, fonts, and finishes — including reflective, two-tone, and high-contrast options — to perfectly complement your vessel's color scheme.
Each character is individually cut for a clean, professional finish. Our registration numbers ship as individual letters for easy alignment on any hull surface.
